DIRECTOR, MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

The Director, Marketing and Communications will be the overall leader of the branding, product management and communication capability for Inocucor and its full product portfolio. This person will develop strategic and tactical marketing programs to drive revenue growth and product contributions.  Accountable for all aspects of brand performance including identifying business issues and creating solutions to drive brand performance. This business leader will have substantial impact on the growth and profitability of Inocucor, and therefore needs to possess the appropriate level of relevant experience, business presence and vision. The successful candidate will be one who thrives in a fast-growing entrepreneurial environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have a college degree in a related field with a master’s or MBA degree desirable, as well as a minimum of 10 years of professional marketing experience preferably with a life science or agriculture company. Must have a track record of successful product launches. Needs a minimum of 3 years of supervisory marketing experience.

DIRECTOR, REGULATORY AFFAIRS

This position will help to develop, articulate, and implement solutions to the challenges facing Inocucor with the changing agricultural industry in the USA, Canada, Latin America and Western Europe. This position entails thoughtful leadership in designing solutions to policy, as well as rate and market design challenges facing the industry. This person will also need to provide effective advocacy in working with relevant stakeholders to implement those solutions via regulatory and legislative venues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have a MS/PhD in Life Sciences (Agronomy, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry) as well as a minimum of 10 years of experience working in Regulatory Affairs with microorganisms used for bio-agricultural and industrial applications. Candidates who have an existing network within Regulatory Authorities such as US EPA, USDA-APHIS, PMRA, Environmental and Climate Change Canada or Trade Associations and other industry groups preferred.

SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Senior Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to executive and other professionals as needed. Duties will include working closely with all parties that report to the executive, working on confidential projects, creation and design of customized PowerPoint presentations, using Excel and other tools to provide vision and clarity to ongoing goals and initiatives, scheduling and managing travel for the executive, managing calendars, expense report responsibilities and more.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ administrative assistant experience with senior level executives in a corporate environment. Demonstrated organizational, time management and communication skills. Proven technical competencies (excellent word processing, powerpoint, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.) and navigation of the Internet. Ability to learn travel, expense and other Internet-based systems as needed. Self-motivated and able to anticipate needs of the team. Experience working in the life science and/or agricultural industry is a plus.

DIRECTOR, ANALYTICAL DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING

The Director, Analytical Development and Testing will lead the overall scientific, technical and operational efforts of the Analytical Group in order to support characterization and testing of Inocucor’s microbial-based biofertilizer products. The Analytical Group will support Product Development, Process Development and Production teams. This hands-on candidate will have broad analytical experience and will also have experience in managing a small team of scientists. A key focus for this position is identifying and implementing analytical tools and technologies to improve product and process understanding and to drive innovation, efficiency and productivity in the lab.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires an MS or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, with significant and established experience (12+ years for MS or 6+ years for PhD) in the bioagricultural or biopharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have relevant hands-on experience in product characterization and analytical method development and validation for biologics and/or small molecules. Experience with the analysis of soil and plant tissue is highly desirable. This candidate must have experience in managing a team of scientists, as well as experience working in a regulatory environment (ISO, GMP, GLP). Experience with any or all of the following is a definite plus: regulatory submissions, microbial testing, trace element testing, plant hormone analysis.

SENIOR ANALYTICAL CHEMIST

The Senior Analytical Chemist will support characterization and testing of Inocucor’s microbial-based biofertilizer products. This hands-on candidate will have broad analytical experience, with specific expertise in mass spectrometry methods. A key focus for this position is identifying and implementing analytical tools and technologies to improve product and process understanding.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires an MS or PhD in Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry, with significant industrial experience (6+ years for MS or 4+ years for PhD) in a biotechnology setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven experience in analytical method development and validation. Experience with the analysis of soil and plant tissue is highly desirable. This person must have strong experience in biological sample preparation, including LLE, SPE, protein precipitation, etc. Experience with any or all of the following is a definite plus: microbial testing, trace element testing, metabolite identification, plant hormone analysis.

SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST - FUNGAL DISEASE CONTROL

The successful Senior Research Scientist – Fungal Disease Control will leverage his/her expertise to support research in the discovery of effective biocontrol products against multiple fungal plant pathogens of diverse high value crops. This person will serve as a subject matter expert in fungal plant pathology and will design and implement innovative ideas and concepts aimed at developing biological control products for various fungal plant pathogens of high value crops.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a PhD and 4+ years of experience in Plant Pathology and plant-microbe interactions with focus on biological control of fungal plant pathogens. The candidate must have excellent knowledge of plant biology, plant pathology, plant physiology and biological control of plant diseases. Industry experience is highly desirable. This position also requires extensive experience in isolation, routine culture and maintenance, inoculation of host plants and testing pathogenicity of fungal plant pathogens, as well as proven experience in growing diverse crops under greenhouse and growth chamber conditions.

SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST

The successful Senior Research Scientist will develop and apply tools to uncover how various formulations of Inocucor’s co-fermented microbes improve soil and plant health. Specifically, the individual will conduct research on soil and plant gene expression, enzyme profiles, metabolite profiles and protein profiles.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a PhD in plant pathology, plant biology, plant physiology, soil microbiology, genetics, bioinformatics, molecular biology, biochemistry or a related field, plus industry experience (4+ years) in a biotechnology setting. The candidate must be skilled in one of the following fields: genomics, metabolomics, proteomics. Experience in bioinformatics is highly desirable. This position also requires demonstrated experience in biological sample preparation of soil or plants, including RNA extraction, SPE, protein precipitation, etc.

SENIOR INDUSTRIAL MICROBIOLOGIST

The Senior Industrial Microbiologist will carry out fermentation operations according to approved SOP, manage and maintain cGMP routines in manufacturing area and maintain clean rooms according to standards. Responsibilities will include setting up databases and internal routines to secure research and manufacturing microbial strains, conducting research and troubleshooting manufacturing issues related to microbiology, setting up SOPs for advanced microbiological testing procedures for better QC/QA routines, and compiling all QC/QA reports for each batch.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Master’s level degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology. Must have at least 6 years’ experience working under cGMP and GLP standard operating procedures, preferably with large/ pilot scale fermentation experience with handling biological materials, identification of microorganisms and fermentation procedures. A strong background & experience in fermentation is necessary. Needs to have good experience in designing optimization & scale up experiments using appropriate statistical methods. Must have experience in setting up SOPs for a microbiology laboratory, maintenance of equipment, administration of microbiology supplies and manufacturing operations. This position requires “hands on” experience and knowledge of cutting edge biotechnology equipment.

AREA SALES MANAGER - BRITISH COLUMBIA

The Area Sales Manager for British Columbia will be responsible for sales activities from lead generation through after-the-sale / account support in British Columbia. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing an agreed-upon sales and marketing plan, which will meet Inocucor’s goals of expanding the customer base in British Columbia.

QUALIFICATIONS

B.Sc. in Agronomy, Life Sciences, Horticulture, Agriculture or related field required. Minimum 5 years related field and business-to-business sales experience needed. Negotiation of distribution agreements, management of distribution agreements and conflict resolution at all levels required. Familiarity with high value vegetable and berry crop production is required as well as a good knowledge of local territory growers. Agronomy experience specific to supporting growers transitioning from conventional to organic farming with an emphasis on biorational products and farming methods would be an added plus. Travel up to 50%.

The salary range is commensurate with experience and competitive industry standards. In addition, this position is eligible for a sales incentive bonus plan. Reimbursement for use of personal vehicle and all associated expenses will be provided.
