SENIOR RESEARCH SCIENTIST - FUNGAL DISEASE CONTROL

The successful Senior Research Scientist – Fungal Disease Control will leverage his/her expertise to support research in the discovery of effective biocontrol products against multiple fungal plant pathogens of diverse high value crops. This person will serve as a subject matter expert in fungal plant pathology and will design and implement innovative ideas and concepts aimed at developing biological control products for various fungal plant pathogens of high value crops.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a PhD and 4+ years of experience in Plant Pathology and plant-microbe interactions with focus on biological control of fungal plant pathogens. The candidate must have excellent knowledge of plant biology, plant pathology, plant physiology and biological control of plant diseases. Industry experience is highly desirable. This position also requires extensive experience in isolation, routine culture and maintenance, inoculation of host plants and testing pathogenicity of fungal plant pathogens, as well as proven experience in growing diverse crops under greenhouse and growth chamber conditions.

COMPENSATION

AREA SALES MANAGER - BRITISH COLUMBIA

The Area Sales Manager for British Columbia will be responsible for sales activities from lead generation through after-the-sale / account support in British Columbia. Responsibilities will include developing and implementing an agreed-upon sales and marketing plan, which will meet Inocucor’s goals of expanding the customer base in British Columbia.

QUALIFICATIONS

B.Sc. in Agronomy, Life Sciences, Horticulture, Agriculture or related field required. Minimum 5 years related field and business-to-business sales experience needed. Negotiation of distribution agreements, management of distribution agreements and conflict resolution at all levels required. Familiarity with high value vegetable and berry crop production is required as well as a good knowledge of local territory growers. Agronomy experience specific to supporting growers transitioning from conventional to organic farming with an emphasis on biorational products and farming methods would be an added plus. Travel up to 50%.

COMPENSATION

The salary range is commensurate with experience and competitive industry standards. In addition, this position is eligible for a sales incentive bonus plan. Reimbursement for use of personal vehicle and all associated expenses will be provided.
