Inocucor Adds Scientific and Operations Expertise

By Maggie Bywater-Ekegärd

We celebrated the new year by welcoming an impressive new group of employees to our lab and business office. We’re scaling up to meet demand for Inocucor Garden Solution and to continue development of our next generations of products.

We were thrilled to welcome B. Pratyusha Chennupati to our scientific team as senior development scientist focusing on quality control and quality assurance, bioassay development and expanding Inocucor’s cGMP pilot facility. Pratyusha knows the Inocucor technology well, having worked with it in trials at McGill University and A & L Biologicals while she was completing her M.Sc. degree.

In November, Dr. Fazli Mabood, another McGill alum, joined us as Group Leader: Discovery, New Biological Entities. We greatly respect Mabood’s 15 years of expertise with bio-fertilizers, bio-stimulants and new biological entities, which he acquired at McGill’s Plant Sciences lab. He’ll put that knowledge to work leading development of our second- and third-generation products for bio-stimulation and bio-protection.

Éric Gerard also joins our lab as a Microbiology Development Technician. Éricbrings expertise in food chemistry and extraction of minerals from soil while employed at S.M. International inc. He has also worked as a lab technician at Génome Québec and Charles River Laboratories.

On the operations side, Nicolas Atala joined us as Finance Manager. He is an experienced CPA, CGA who previously worked with SDL International, P.A. Services Conseils Inc. and IMCO Groupe.

Our new Technical Applications Specialist Christina Sawchyn will help design and manage our many field demonstration projects with greenhouse growers and farmers in the U.S. and Canada.

Karen Benlolo started just last week as Administrative Assistant/Sales and Marketing Coordinator. She previously worked for Crofton Moore commercial real estate and Aloft Montreal Airport Hotels.

Helping manage all the details of these new hires is Heather Copeland, who joined us this past September as Human Relations Specialist.  Heather has worked for 20 years in international planning, human resources and operations.

We feel incredibly lucky to have attracted such an impressive group to our company.

Inocucor is an ag biotech company that develops powerful natural biological products for agriculture targeting the phyto-microbiome—the seeds, plants, root systems and the soil surrounding them. Inocucor’s first-generation product, Garden Solution®, soon to be re-branded as Synergro, employs live microbes to actively improve the health of the entire phyto-microbiome. Its second product, Synergro Free and future generations of Inocucor products are powerful biological formulations for bio-stimulation, bio-fertility and bio-control targeting mainstream production agriculture.
